The Elizabethtown Advocate is the newest addition to the LNP Media Group collection of local weekly newspapers in Lancaster County. Acquired in April 2017, The Elizabethtown Advocate serves Elizabethtown, Mt. Joy and surrounding areas.
Veteran journalist Dan Robrish founded the paper in 2010. The Advocate succeeded the Elizabethtown Chronicle, which folded in 2009 after 140 years. This left a void in the area in terms of unbiased information for the community. The Advocate fills that void, providing investigative reporting, informed editorials, stories about prominent residents, school sports, and a new classified section.
